The Ken labs KS-6 known as "The Commander" is one of Kenyon’s gyro stabilisers, designed for those more difficult assignments. This unit has twice the stabilisation power of the KS-4, allowing steady sequences and smooth panning from tough platforms like helicopters, boats and moving vehicles. The beauty of using the Ken labs KS-6 is that troublesome vibrations are dampened out for use with medium format cameras or long lenses, without the loss of hand-held freedom of motion.
The ks-6 commander can also be fitted to both pro and amateur video cameras as well as broadcast sized cameras allowing the camera person to realise the full potential of telephoto and zoom lenses, without the risk of shake, one or two KS-6 commanders are often used in steadicam setups to improve picture quality.
The KS-6 is designed for use with camera equipment weighing up to 2.73 kg (6lbs).
